From Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyards of Castelgiocondo comes this elegantly structured wine that is matured in oak barrels for about a year and aged in bottles for a few months before becoming Campo ai Sassi. Campo ai Sassi Rosso di Montalcino shows the same characteristics as Brunello, but in a younger, less complex way; it comes from vineyards with vines that have very deep roots and produce aromatic and elegant wines that are less tannic than Brunello.
