A red wine of high personality, made from grapes of the smaller, rockier Valtellina Superiore subzone. Rough in youth, it tends to soften after long aging in small Slavonian oak barrels and will keep for many years in bottles lying flat. Wine produced only in the best vintages. Intense ruby red color. On the nose notes of small red fruits, spices, tobacco, thyme. In the mouth it is rich, dense and with a long finish. Particularly long-lived wine.
