"Szt. Tamas" Aszú 6 Puttonyos - 1995 - Royal Tokaji
The vineyard Szt. Tamás, also known as Santo Tä-määsh, is located north of Royal Tokaji's Nyulászó vineyard on south, southwest and southeast facing slopes at an elevation of about 750 feet, with a panoramic view of the estate's cellars. Dedicated to the apostle St. Thomas, this vineyard has red volcanic clay soil enriched with iron oxide, which effectively retains moisture, an advantage during dry seasons. The wines made from grapes from the Szt. Tamás are distinguished by their pure fruit character, balanced acidity and remarkable longevity. The Royal Tokaji Szt. Tamás from 1995 is a wine with a light golden color, light notes of orange peel and a medium-bodied palate. It comes across as an outstanding wine and potentially one of the best of its vintage.
