Rosso di Montalcino - 2011 - Mastrojanni
Mastrojanni is a winery in Tuscany, located in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the far southeastern part of the municipality of Montalcino. It is best known for its wines made from the Sangiovese grape variety. The Mastrojanni winery, an integral part of the estate, is partially dug into the hillside. The grapes are fermented primarily in concrete tanks, with a select portion undergoing vinification in wooden vats to obtain additional tannins. The transparent, bright ruby denotes a vintage conducted in an exemplary manner resulting in elegance and roundness. A fun and lively attack on the palate makes Rosso 2011 a fine wine for aging as well.
