Ghiaie della Furba - 2000 - Tenuta di Capezzana
Capezzana's Ghiaie della Furba represents a prestigious wine born from the fervent passion of Ugo and Vittorio Contini Bonacossi. Through the integration of Syrah to the original varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, an intense aromatic complexity is achieved. The grapes are harvested from old vineyards grown on clay shale soils, and the winemaking process involves an 18-month maturation period in barrique, followed by an additional 12 months in bottle. Ghiaie della Furba is characterized by a deep ruby red color and a broad, sophisticated and elegant bouquet. In the mouth, the wine is distinguished by its softness, a robust structure, dense and enveloping tannins, and a lingering and prolonged aftertaste.
