Ferrari is an award-winning sparkling wine house in the Trentino-Alto Adige region of northern Italy. It produces Metodo Classico wines from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir with the Trento DOC title. The company was established in 1902 by Giulio Ferrari, with the intention of taking on the best wines from Champagne. In doing so, Ferrari became one of the first Italian estates to make substantial plantings of Chardonnay. Ferrari has received considerable international attention-in 2015, it won sparkling wine producer of the year at the World Champagne and Sparkling Wine Championship. Ferrari works with about 500 winemaking families in the mountains of Trentino, as well as growing some of its own vineyards. The wines are produced in Italy's largest sparkling wine plant, which cellars millions of bottles in vast underground cellars. The year of disgorgement is 2000.
