This wine is living proof of how Sangiovese can give different expressions of itself depending on the soil where it is grown, the different clones used and the type of vinification applied. This Chianti Classico is rich and pulpy with fruity hints of black cherry and blackberry and spicy notes of licorice and coffee and a harmonious and pleasant flavor structure. Chianti Classico Tenuta Sant'Alfonso is one of the winery's historic wines and one of the prestigious crus made from 100% Sangiovese grapes sourced exclusively from the estate of the same name.
