Louis Roederer's 2012 Cristal Rosé is a champagne of rare elegance, born of a complex and memorable vintage in Champagne, resulting in wines that are ripe, rich and structured. Made by the unique infusion method, it combines Pinot Noir and Chardonnay juices for perfect integration and freshness. The blend, composed of 56 percent Pinot Noir and 44 percent Chardonnay, has no malolactic fermentation and includes 15 percent of wines vinified in wood, with a dosage of 8 g/l. It has a salmon-pink color with golden highlights and remarkably fine effervescence. The nose offers a complex and refined bouquet, with notes of citrus, berries, almonds and vegetal touches of verbena and bergamot. On the palate, the silky effervescence enhances the chalky freshness and fruity structure, giving a long and delicate finish. A masterpiece combining strength, finesse and youthfulness.
