Chianti Classico "Belcanto" - 2021 - Nittardi
Chianti Classico DOCG Belcanto is a signature red from Tenuta Nittardi, a winery that can boast a history whose roots go back several centuries. With such a legacy, it follows that the winery wants to pay homage to the traditions that have ensured its success, passing on to the next generations the importance of the link with the past. An excellent example of this kind of approach can be found in this wine, which is meant to ideally pay homage to Michelangelo Buonarroti, the great Florentine artist who, for a time, owned the winery. To produce this intense, full-bodied red, other native grape varieties are added to the classic Sangiovese, which is present for 90 percent, for the remaining 10 percent. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks, while the maturation phase takes place inside tonneaux and lasts for twelve months.
