Ca del Pazzo - 1995 - Tenuta Caparzo
Società Agricola Caparzo is a winery in the Tuscan region of Montalcino particularly known for its Brunello di Montalcino red wines led by the Vigna La Casa cuvée. Introduced in 1977, it is one of the region's first single-vineyard wines, and also one of the first to use barriques-the wine sees one year in smaller barrels, then two years in French casks and 3000-liter slavons. The vineyard was once the farm for workers at the nearby Palazzo Montosoli. In total, Caparzo has about 90 acres (220 hectares) of vineyards in different locations. covering a wide range of terroirs. within the appellation. First created in 1982 from a selection of grapes from vineyards located in Caparzo and San Piero Caselle, it can therefore be considered one of the first Supertuscans produced in the Brunello area.
