The particular exposure of Villa Poggio Salvi makes it possible to obtain a Brunello of great value and finesse, starting with Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand with scrupulous care. Of considerable importance is the fact that the winery for vinification is located adjacent to the vineyards; this allows little time to elapse between harvesting and crushing, avoiding any unwanted fermentation starts and problems of berry breakage due to transport. The main characteristics, namely the particular intensity in the aromas, the readiness and harmonious roundness in the tannins and the length in the aftertastes, are the result of the very special pedoclimatic situation of the vineyards from which it comes.
