Il palato di questo vino è potente e complesso, mostrando grande finezza e una lunghezza impressionante. Il Domaine Hoffmann-Jayer, precedentemente noto come Jayer-Gilles, è una tenuta di 10 ettari in Borgogna, rinomata per i suoi vini rossi a base di Pinot Noir da Nuits-Saint-Georges e l'Échézeaux Grand Cru. Situata a Magny-lès-Villers, la tenuta è stata fondata negli anni '50 da Robert Jayer e successivamente passata a suo figlio Gilles, che la ribattezzò Jayer-Gilles nel 1998. Dopo la scomparsa di Gilles nel 2018, il miliardario svizzero André Hoffmann ha acquisito la tenuta.
