Planeta is a well-regarded wine producer based in western Sicily but with vineyards throughout the Italian island. Planeta produces a range of high-end wines across IGT and DOCG levels from selected appellations. Planeta has six different wine estates scattered throughout the island, producing wines from local Fiano and Nero d'Avola grapes, as well as international varieties such as Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. Menfi Dispensa is in the west is the heart of the family land. It has the largest estate and winery and is the site of the Planeta family's private residence. Varieties such as Fiano, Garganega, Chardonnay, Syrah and Nero d'Avola are grown here.

Only bottles that pass the second inspection are marked with the VR quality seal and signed by the inspector.
