Dievole is a winery located in the Chianti Classico wine region, positioned north of the Tuscan city of Siena. It specializes in growing grape varieties typical of Tuscany and Chianti Classico, such as Sangiovese, as well as small portions of Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino, Trebbiano and Malvasia Bianca. The name Dievole originates from the Italian phrase "god wills." The estate covers about 400 hectares of land, dedicated to both vineyards and olive groves. The vineyards are divided into 16 separate lots, covering an area of about 55 hectares. The vines are grown on southeast-facing slopes at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level. Soil types vary widely among the different vineyard sites, including limestone, clay, sandy and marly soils.
