Company founded two centuries ago and forerunner of modern winemaking in western Sicily. They began producing high quality Marsala from the early 1800s and then expanded their range with native products. This Syrah produced mainly for the Anglo-Saxon market great lover of structured wines with high alcohol content (14.5% vol), the aging involves a one-year passage in barriques and then again still in the bottle trying to soften the alcoholicity due to the heat of the Sicilian land. Baglio Hopps is now one of the most important realities of the island and a stop on many wine tours.

I purchased several bottles of various types and vintages. Whites and Reds.
Shipments received in 2 to 3 days with suitable packaging. As I have read in the various comments, we are talking about wines of not indifferent vintages and in which the risk of some defect given by time must be taken into account. So far, of about ten bottles tried (between whites and reds and with older vintage 1988) I have not found any defects. Always Excellent.
