Merlot - 2011 - La Jota Vineyard
Le origini dei vini di La Jota affondano le radici nella Napa Valley, dove nel 1888 W.S. Keyes piantò alcune delle prime viti su Howell Mountain. Dieci anni dopo, Fredrick Hess costruì una cantina in pietra e fondò La Jota Vineyard Co., nome derivante dal suo appezzamento messicano, Rancho La Jota. Entrambi vinsero medaglie per i loro vini di Howell Mountain all'Esposizione di Parigi del 1900. Oggi, La Jota Vineyard Co. continua questa grande tradizione con piccole produzioni di Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc e Chardonnay, esprimendo la complessità fruttata e minerale di queste origini a clima fresco.
