The spring and summer season was less favorable than the excellent weather conditions that characterized the harvest. Low spring temperatures delayed the flowering of the vines, while the summer was rainier and wetter than usual in Montalcino. However, in September, the quality of the harvest improved thanks to the sunshine and favorable temperatures, ensuring gradual ripening. The 1995 Luce wine has an intense purple color and aromas of fruit such as blackberries, black currants and plums, with notes of chocolate, anise and vanilla. It has wonderful balance, fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.
