Nittardi boutique winery is located between Castellina and Panzano in the heart of Chianti Classico. Nittardi Riserva Selezionata grows in the best vineyard, Vigna Alta. The vineyard is on a south-facing hillside 500 meters above sea level and has limestone soil, locally called Alberese that gives structure and power to the wine and schist, locally called Galestro that generates the wine with an elegant minerality and freshness. Deep dark red color, nose of blueberry, dark cherry, ripe blackberry and garrigue with hints of exotic spices. Medium palate with elegant tannins and excellent freshness. Exceptional structure, remarkable grainy tannins with a long, lingering finish. Nittardi Riserva 2019 is still a very compact and young wine and it will be exciting to follow its evolution for the next 20 years.
