Chateau Villars - 2005 - Fronsac
Château Villars wines are born from a clay-socalcare subsoil that is crucial to their personality. They derive their power from clay and their finesse from limestone, which plays a fabulous role as a water regulator to feed the vine foot. He is the "Grand Vin," raised entirely in French oak barrels; 20 hectares of our vineyard are entirely dedicated to him, the oldest vineyards on the property. Château Villars is first and foremost a nose of great freshness, floral or fruity depending on the vintage, with a hint of spice. The mouth evolves on powerful and ribbed but always very subtle tannins. It always gains complexity over time and can be cellared for 10 to 20 years, depending on the vintage.
