Chateau Maurac - 2002 - Haut Medoc
The soil in this area is mainly clay and limestone, and cultivated mainly with Merlot, which is well adapted to this type of composition. The winery's winemaker is Claude Gaudin, who also works with other famous châteaux in the Haut Medoc area. His philosophy and production style are simple: reduce the yield per vine, to achieve greater aromatic concentration in the berries. The result will be a quality wine with intense and distinct aromas and taste-olfactory scents. Vinification follows traditional methods, and aging takes place in new oak barrels, which add complexity, structure and depth to the final product.
