Chateau La Tour Blanche - 1959 - Sauternes
Owned by the Ministry of Agriculture, following Mr. Osiris' donation in 1907, the La Tour Blanche chateau has not only a vast vineyard with heterogeneous terrain, but also a school of viticulture. Far below its rank, the domain has been able to benefit from major modernization thanks to state funds. This ranked Cru produces superb Sauternes with a rather high level of liqueur. The wine, however, is perfectly balanced by superb freshness. The nose develops aromas of exotic fruit, candied lemon and honey. The palate is superb, elegant and precise. Over the years, the dress evolves toward old gold and then bronze, the nose develops aromas of spices such as saffron.
