Chateau La Fleur Peyrabon - 2005 - Pauillac
Château Peyrabon is a Cru Bourgeois wine producer on the left bank of Bordeaux. Unusually, it has vineyards in both Haut-Médoc and Pauillac. A trio of red wines are made with Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Château Peyrabon's Haut-Médoc vineyard consists of gravel, clay, sand and limestone soils with vines that average 25 years old. The Château in question produces two cuvées: the first under the Haut-Médoc appellation and the second, La Fleur Peyrabon, comes from 4 selected hectares in the Pauillac appellation. La Fleur Peyrabon generally presents a firm and well-structured body; the nose gives hints of elegant fruit, which will evolve well over the years, while also going smooth tannins.
