Cabernet Sauvignon - 2016 - Chimney Rock
The Chimney Rock winery was founded in 1980 by Hack and Stella Wilson, who purchased a 180-acre parcel on the Silverado Trail, planting vineyards shortly thereafter. The first vintage was in 1984, and in the 1990s, an impressive Cape Dutch-style building with a Ganymede frieze was built. In 2000, the Terlato family joined the Wilsons, aiming to elevate the winery's reputation for Cabernet Sauvignon. Today, Chimney Rock has 119 acres of vineyards divided into 28 blocks, allowing for highly specialized viticulture.
