Castello Banfi has its roots in the renowned wine region of Tuscany, having been established in 1978 by the Italian-American brothers John and Harry Mariani. This renowned winery is famous for producing a high-quality Brunello, made from estate vineyards selected through zoning studies begun in 1980, which identified the best areas to grow Sangiovese. The result is a complex and elegant Brunello that impeccably represents the exceptional vintage. On the nose, fruity aromas of blackberry and plum jam emerge, accompanied by delicate notes of coffee, pipe tobacco and a subtle spicy touch on the finish. In the mouth, the full structure is harmoniously balanced by soft, ripe tannins, with a finish that stands out for its richness and persistence
