Barolo "Castiglione" is a classic Barolo made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from small vineyards in the communes of the Barolo area, with vines 10-45 years old on limestone-clay soils. The different MGAs are vinified and aged separately, then blended before bottling. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks with maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation in wood. Aging takes place for 30 months in large barrels and partially in barriques. Ruby red in color, the wine has aromas of plum, cherry and tobacco, with a rich and powerful palate, well-integrated tannins and a leathery finish.
