The Barolo D.O.C.G. area includes a total of 11 communes with altitudes between 200 and 550 meters. The Barolo viticultural area is then so characteristic that it cannot be reproduced elsewhere. Nebbiolo, moreover, is among the vines the one that more than any other modifies its fruit precisely in relation to the qualities of the climate and soil. And it is precisely because of these characteristics that Nebbiolo almost never bears the name of the grape variety, but the name of the area, the village where it is rooted, because the fruit is already different in relation to the microclimate of the area and the composition of the soil and, therefore, the wine is different. And in Barolo, Nebbiolo finds its highest expressions.
