The Grenache and Syrah vines at the origin of this Gigondas are rooted in the hills of the family property where the garrigue, present for centuries, has given way to the vine, giving it its aromas. The soils are composed of limestone alternating with Cretaceous marl, with a north-west exposure at 300 m altitude. The average age of the vines in this selection of parcels is 45 years. Manual harvest. A 21-day vinification in concrete tanks extracts the best of these musts and lets the spirit and tradition of this family terroir shine through. Old-fashioned aging for 12 months in oak vats and barrels to combine the finesse of wood and the delicacy of natural micro-oxygenation. Flavors of black and red berries pleasantly structured by soft and powerful tannins combine with flavors of thyme, bay leaves, rosemary. This bouquet of aromas blossoms into a long persistence of spices and black pepper. It is a wine of pleasure, spicy and fresh, that enhances an entire meal.
