Located in the heart of southern Tuscany, Altesino is an estate whose exceptional terroir was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2004. With its highly respectful approach to the vineyards and the surrounding nature, this estate excels in the production of great Brunello di Montalcino DOCG wines. The Altesino estate, a true pioneer, introduced two important innovations within the denomination, with the introduction of the notion of "cru" in 1975 and barrel vinification in 1979. Aged for a minimum of 2 years in oak barrels, the careful production of this 2018 Brunello di Montalcino from Altesino is followed by a minimum of 4 months of bottle aging before release.
