Barolo D.O.C.G. Nirvasco from the commune of Serralunga d'Alba, made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on limestone-clay soils, is distinguished by its refined structure and longevity. Harvested by hand in October, the wine undergoes controlled maceration in steel with repeated pumping over and malolactic fermentation on fine lees. Aged for at least 36 months in large oak barrels and in the bottle, it has a garnet-red color with orange hues, a traditional bouquet of spices and ripe fruit, and a rich, lingering taste with soft tannins and notes of leather, licorice, pepper, wilted violets and ripe plum. Perfect with game, red meat, elaborate dishes and savory cheeses, it is ideal at 16-18°C and boasts a longevity of more than 10 years.
