The small section of Langa, northeast of Alba, includes the towns of Barbaresco, Treiso, Neive and S. Rocco Seno d'Elvio, characterized by hills covered with vineyards. About 650 hectares of vines produce nearly three million bottles of Barbaresco DOCG, a highly prestigious wine from Piedmont made from selected grapes and aged in oak barrels. Barbaresco has a garnet-red color with ruby undertones, a harmonious and complex bouquet of violet, rosehip, apple, cherry, vanilla and spice, and a dry, caressing, robust flavor of extraordinary elegance.
