Harmonium - 1999 - Firriato
Harmonium represents the sublime expression of the union between the power of Nero d'Avola and the distinctive style of Firriato. The primary objective was to create a true "excellence among excellences," capable of fully embodying the complexity of such a versatile grape variety. After careful research lasting 15 years and numerous microvinifications, Firriato identified three distinct crus in the 165 hectares of Borgo Guarini: Ferla, Lepre and Beccaccia. Here vines from three different massal selections of Nero d'Avola were planted. Thanks to the variety of soil and climate conditions, it was possible to enhance the unique organoleptic characteristics of each Single Vineyard. The grapes destined for Harmonium are harvested at different times due to their different ripening and are vinified separately, before being combined in a blend that has marked the history of this distinctive label.
