Chianti Classico - 2021 - The Sources
Chianti Classico Le Fonti embodies the company style, characterized by intensity, authenticity and great drinkability. Composed of 100% Sangiovese grapes, it comes from vineyards located in the westernmost part of the Chianti Classico production area, at 300 meters above sea level, with a south-southwest exposure. The soils, evolved from the geological formation of the undifferentiated complex, are rich in skeleton and have low fertility. Maceration lasts ten days. 30% of the wine ages for 6 months in used French oak barriques, while the remaining 70% in steel and vitrified cement tanks. The wine has an intense ruby red color, a scent of ripe red fruits, a harmonious and persistent flavor.
