Chateau d'Or et de Gueules "La Bolida" - 2008 - Costieres de Nimes
The estate currently extends over 75 ha, of which 65 are in production, with a south-southeast exposure of the Costières, on a false flat. All the soil is in rolled silica pebbles. The Costères de Nimes appellation has been in AOC since 1986, and is located in the terroir of the Rhone Valley and not Languedoc-Roussillon, as many think. The planting of Chateau d'Or et Gueules is about 5000 vines/Ha with an average yield of 35 hl/ha. The aim of Diane de Puymorin, owner of the Chateau, is to produce wines for pleasure, with low yields, always with particular attention to freshness and acidity.
