Chateau du Paradis - 1964 - St Emilion
Château du Paradis is an 8-hectare, single-plot Garden of Eden on a beautiful hill of gravel magically deposited by the swirling waters of the Dordogne River. This mix of gravel, clay and sand absorbs heat during the day and reflects it back at night as the grapes ripen. This reinforces the wines' concentration, complexity and aromatic elegance. Vinification takes place in barrels and each parcel is kept separate until the final blend is assembled. In its ongoing quest to innovate and care for its vines in the best way possible, the Bardet family relies on the expert advice of Hubert de Bouärd, Chateau Angelus winemaker.
