Selección Especial is the first wine from Abadía Retuerta, obtained by selecting and blending the best wines of the vintage from the 54 plots of the winery's vineyard. Produced mainly with the native variety of the Duero, Tempranillo, it is complemented with other varieties chosen through tasting. The aim is to balance the particularities of the vintage and preserve the distinctive style of the wine. Dark red in color, it has a clean and attractive nose with aromas of red fruit, blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry, accompanied by light herbaceous, mentholated notes and a subtle creamy touch. On the palate it is soft, refreshing and pleasant, with high quality, fine, ripe and well-integrated tannins, which offer a long and aromatic finish.
