Muscat de Rivesaltes - 2000 - Domaine Cazes
Maison Cazes has been creating natural sweet wines with complex aromas for over 100 years with unmatched mastery. It uses Muscat d'Alexandria and Muscat à Petits Grains grape varieties. The 220-hectare vineyard is located between the terraces of Agly, in the villages of Rivesaltes and Salses- le-Château, with clay soils. The vinification includes direct pressing and fermentation at 18°, with mutation in liquid phase. Bottling takes place within 6 months of harvest and the wines are stored in a climate-controlled cellar. When tasting, a floral nose is perceived which evolves toward ripe citrus fruits and exotic fruits, with a fresh menthol and slightly spicy finish.
