The particular exposure of Villa Poggio Salvi allows the production of a Brunello of great value and finesse, starting from Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand with scrupulous attention. Of considerable importance is the fact that the winemaking cellar is located adjacent to the vineyards; this allows for little time to elapse between harvesting and pressing, thus avoiding any unwanted fermentation starts and problems of grape breakage due to transport. The main characteristics, namely the particular intensity of the aromas, the readiness and harmonious roundness of the tannins and the length of the aftertaste, are the result of the very particular soil and climate conditions of the vineyards from which it comes.
