On the nose, notes of ripe dark fruit stand out, such as plums and blackberries, followed by tertiary hints of black pepper, undergrowth, spices and a touch of star anise. On the palate it reveals powerful tannins but well integrated into the structure, offering a balanced and persistent sip. Ideal in combination with aged cheeses, red meats or game, it also expresses itself best with Gruyere, enhancing the complexity and elegance of both.
