The hillside where the Nebbiolo vineyards are located is divided by a fissure that descends from the top of the hill to the valley below, creating two areas. The area to the right of the municipality of Castiglione Falletto is the historic center around the castle, while to the left of the main road that leads to Castiglione is "Pernanno", with south-east exposure. Annual temperatures, rainfall and other weather conditions determine the quality of the Barolo produced. This "Pernanno" Barolo has a very deep garnet red color. Its aromas are very intense, and struggle to express themselves in the first few years. The structure that is highlighted is characteristic of very important vintages with a very dense tannic texture, and improves further with a few years in the bottle.
