Barbera d'Asti "Costamiole" - 1997 - Prunotto
Prunotto is a wine producer based in the Langhe region of northern Italy. It produces a range of wines from some of the region's most famous DOC and DOCG appellations, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Dolcetto d'Alba, Barbera d'Alba, and Moscato d'Asti. Today, the Prunotto estate consists of 65 hectares (160 acres) of vineyards, including land in some of Barolo's crus, the most famous of which is Vigna Colonnello in the Bussia subregion. This vineyard, set in a natural amphitheater with mixed soils of clay, tuff, and sand, is perfect for the Nebbiolo grapes that grow here. The varietal wine produced here is Prunello's flagship.
