The farm "La Castellina" originates from the Ancient Estates of the powerful Squarcialupi family, which settled in these territories in the 1200s. The red wines with the name "Squarcialupi" express the typicality of the Sangiovese grape variety, limiting the use of complementary varieties. Intense notes of berries, black pepper and licorice make this wine very pleasant, complemented by 18 months of aging in large barrels and barriques.
