Brunello di Montalcino Riserva "Mercatale" - 2017 - Ridolfi
The 2017 Brunello Mercatale Riserva interprets a hot and dry year well, highlighting floral and fruity aromas accented by hints of smoke, anticipating a mouth well profiled in its refined chiaroscuro. The Ridolfi winemaking project, by Venetian entrepreneur Giuseppe Valter Peretti, took off in 2011, proving to be well-conceived from the start. The style of the wines is based on a tendency toward classicism revised in a modern key, relying on the potential of the vineyards in the Mercatali area, in the northeastern quadrant of the Ilcinese appellation. The result is wines of impeccable execution, which look convincingly to balance and finesse.
