Sylvaner - 2017 - Tauber
Richard currently offers two wines: Sylvaner and Kerner, with the imminent introduction of Riesling. Sylvaner, from the Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC area, grows at 700 m on shallow alluvial and mineral soils. Vinification involves gentle crushing, temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks, without malolactic fermentation, and an 8-month aging on the noble lees. It has a straw-yellow color with greenish highlights and a fresh, fruity flavor with a slight spiciness. Its acidity is delicate and balanced, while the finish is mineral, full and enveloping.
