Malbec - 2005 - Terrazas de los Andes
Terrazas de los Andes grows its grapes at the ideal altitude for each variety, maximizing aromas and flavors in its wines. The "Finca Las Compuertas" vineyard, located at 1,067 meters above sea level in Vistalba, Mendoza, is home to 1929 vines descended from Bordeaux clones introduced in the 19th century by Michel Pouget. The passion of the winemaking team, combined with the natural advantages of high-altitude vineyards, allows the unique characteristics of Malbec to be preserved. Afincado Malbec is born in this unique location, with permeable, sand-free soil, irrigated by traditional canals fed by the snows of the Andes. The wine is distinguished by a dark red color with purple undertones, a complex bouquet of black cherries, prunes, caramel and smoky notes, and a structured palate with powerful tannins and floral notes.
