Coteaux du Layon St Lambert - 1991 - Domaine Ogereau
Spread over 27 communes, the Coteaux du Layon vineyards produce one of the Loire Valley's most renowned wines. There are seven AOCs that more specifically reflect their terroir. The stony soils, with schistose, siliceous or partially clayey dominants, give sweet wines of great complexity. The grapes, made exclusively from the Chenin blanc grape variety, are harvested by successive sorting once the noble rot has fully developed.
