Cor Römigberg - 2003 - Alois Lageder
The picturesque steep slope of the Römigberg estate, located by Lake Kaltern, reflects our ideal of the farm as a closed-cycle living organism where humans, animals and plants coexist in harmony. In this environment, cows graze freely among vines and olive trees. Since 1986, the plot called 'Cor' (lat. heart) has been cultivated with Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The Römigberg estate extends northwest of Lake Kaltern, with vineyards located on extremely steep south-facing slopes at an elevation of 250 meters above sea level. The wine produced is cherry red in color with ruby red highlights. The bouquet is characterized by concentrated, fruity aromas of cherry and black currant, with spicy and floral notes. The body is vigorous and elegant, rich in tannins, spicy and fresh, offering a complex and refined taste experience.
