Barolo D.O.C.G. is a fine wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the renowned communes of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Verduno. The vines, located at an altitude of 280-300 m with southwest exposure, grow on marly-calcareous soils and are trained using the Guyot system. The plants, 10-12 years old, offer a yield of 70 quintals per hectare. Harvesting takes place in October, with an alcohol content of about 14% Vol. After picking, the grapes undergo destemming and soft crushing, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at 28°C with maceration on the skins for 15 days. The wine matures for 36 months in French barriques and further ages 6 months in the bottle. The result is a Barolo with a garnet red color with orange hues, an intense, complex and ethereal bouquet, and a warm, full and dry taste. Perfect with red meats, game, stews and aged cheeses. Recognized with excellent scores by critics such as James Suckling (91/100) and Falstaff (92/100).
