Wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region is produced in southern France, stretching from the Mediterranean coast to Provence. Cabernet, Merlot, Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah are some of the region's most important red grapes. The fruit, in this wine, is preserved and the currants, nuts and figs explode. The balance in the mouth extends to peppery notes.
