Chianti Classico Riserva - 2020 - Vallepicciola
Made in Castelnuovo Berardenga, this wine is composed of 100% Sangiovese and has a longevity of more than 10 years. The grapes, harvested in mid-September, come from the Vallepicciola vineyards, located at 380-440 meters above sea level on limestone and clay soils. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled cement tanks, followed by a 15-day maceration. Malolactic fermentation takes place in large French oak barrels, followed by aging in barriques for 24 months. After bottle aging for 6 months, the wine is ruby red with notes of ripe fruit, flowers and black pepper.
