Dogliani d.o.c.g. Il Briccolero is an organic wine of excellence, made with pure Dolcetto from a selection of vocated plots within the San Luigi properties. With a limited production of about 20,000 bottles, it is characterized by an artisanal winemaking process: harvest and fermentation in September, followed by aging for a year in cement tanks and a small part in large French oak barrels, without filtration. Deep purple in color, it offers hints of black berry fruit, balsamic and spicy notes on the nose. Lively acidity and firm tannins stand out on the palate. The terroir of Briccolero, located in the eastern part of St. Louis Hill with southeastern exposure, is characterized by high slopes and light-colored soils, rich in calcium carbonate and sand, which give the wine freshness, complexity and harmonious balance.
